Aylesbury 2012

On 28th July 2012 we held our annual family gathering in Aylesbury. After going "on tour" to West Wycombe and Wendover in the last two years we decided to show our presence at the school again and attach ourselves to the main event namely the Bucks FHS open day.

Several members attended the Buck FHS open day in the morning, but then as usual we met up for lunch at the Shoulder of Mutton in Wendover. At this point the group split, and whilst most of us made our way back to the school, a small splinter group headed for St Mary's church in Wendover, although most reappeared at the school later on.

On display at the school in our "Wooster room" was a "photo tree" which comprised a truncated version of the Great Wooster Tree with photos of our ancestors. Also on view was a collection of high quality Wooster publications about various parts of the family and a Powerpoint presentation about the history of our group.

Overall the attendance, both at our event and the Bucks FHS open day were slightly down this year, probably due to the Olympics. However, the day still proved a success and with the medal haul maybe it was worth it!
