Julian Wooster: The grave appeared solid and stable so I moved around to the front, crouched down right in front of it and pulled the ivy back from the lowest stone - “ALSO OF MILLICENT” it read. Bingo! Millicent was by great great grandmother, wife of Clement, she died 3 years after him. I had found the right grave - thrilling as you can imagine and more emotional than I had expected, I was close to the oldest remains of my family that I know of. I removed the rest of the ivy as carefully and respectfully as I could - as if I was discovering a lost world. I doubt this had been done for a long while as the ivy was thick and long. The other 2 stones, stacked on top of each other below a plain cross revealed the whole memorial.
