Birth: 16 April 1892, Southall, Middlesex, England. Death: November 1979, Manitoba, Canada          Tree Regiment (UK): Duke of Cambridge's Own 8th Middlesex Regiment (3 years service) Regiment (Canada): Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force Service no. 6098 Enlistment Place: Sewell, Manitoba, Canada Enlistment Date: 23rd June 1915 Medal Award: Bravery in the Field Medal: 12th June 1918 Discharged: 6th June 1919

Enlistment Documents:


Frederick was awarded the Bravery in the Field medal after his involvement in the Battle of Moeuil Wood with the Lord Strathcona's Horse. His unit were heavily outnumbered and suffered severe losses and he was one of only two survivors.
