Injured playing football: Ipswich, January 1917
It seems James was injured playing football for his regimental team when his left ankle "gave way". His medical report diagnosed the condition as "talipes equinovalgus", more commonly known as club foot. However, this is generally described as a congenital condition rather than something which is caused by injury. Was James mis-diagnosed?
