On the 7th June 1944 members of the 466 Squadron RAAF took off from RAF Driffield, Yorkshire, UK to bomb the railway complex at Juvisy-sur-Orge, near Paris. Handley-Page Halifax III code HD-F was shot down near Illeville-Sur-Monfort killing all on board.
