Licensee James ("Jim") Wooster ran (and possibly owned) the pub at Terrick between Stoke Mandeville and Ellesborough/Wendover. Lilian Giles' parents used to stay at Ellesborogh at Bank Holidays but not to go and see the family. This was before the First World War.
