Notes |
- Marguerite was a no-nonsense, take charge and energetic lady. She loved travelling (she really enjoyed her trip down the Rhine and Danube), golf, theatre and symphony productions, showing visitors around Victoria, cousin reunions and family visits, being with friends (Marg kept in touch with fellow nurses from her graduating class after 60+ years, also exercise class and bridge friends) and her volunteer work with the Kiwanis.
Marg met Norman while she was working at St. Paul's in Vancouver, when he visited a patient of hers, and they married on June 30, 1956. In 1962, they began life on Thetis Island as owners of Telegraph Harbour Marina. They later traded that island life for the Hawaiian island of Maui and then back to living full time on Vancouver Island . They travelled and had many adventures together, they knew how to live life to the fullest and have fun. [1]
- Marguerite and Norm lived in the Vancouver B.C. area all their married lives. They did not have any children. In their later years they ran a lovely restaurant on one of the Gulf Islands. Boaters could come in and dock, and enjoy a lunch in a beautiful setting. [3]
